The American sitcom The Big Bang Theory, created and executive produced by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, premiered on CBS on September 24, 2007.
The show initially centers on five characters:
Leonard: It is an experimental physicist. He earned his doctorate when he was 24.
Sheldon: This is a theoretical physicist who has a Bachelor of Science degree. He was a child prodigy at age 11 and received his doctorate at age 16. It is cold and calculating.
Rajesh: This is Howard's best friend, and yet another genius of the group, his name usually comes down to "Raj." Caltech, where his area of expertise is particle astrophysics.
Penny: Is an occasional waitress and aspiring actress. His profession and academic qualifications are a constant source of derogatory remarks Sheldon.
Howard: Howard is an aerospace engineer at the Department of Applied Physics at Caltech with a Masters in Engineering, which often hangs on Leonard and Sheldon's apartment. Unlike Sheldon, Leonard, Raj and Howard has no doctorate, and as a result often gets neglected, especially Sheldon.
When Leonard and Sheldon are brilliant physicists two young people living together and sharing work at the University of Caltech, Pasadena (California). But despite being gifted skills are not very useful to interact with ordinary people, especially women.
